Donald “Donnie” Eugene Beavers, 73, of Logan, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020, at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital in Athens. He was born September 11, 1947 in New Plymouth, Ohio, son of the late William Jennings and Dorothy Agnes Helber Beavers. Donnie was married to Mary Barhart Beavers, who survives.
He was a retired log truck driver and retired mechanic. Donnie was a Vietnam War Veteran of United States Army, where he was a radio technician and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. He was a great husband, father and loving grandfather and great grandfather.
Along with his wife Mary, Donnie is survived by his son, Richard Brian (Heather) Beavers of New Straitsville; daughter, Evelyn (Jeffrey) Mallory of Logan; grandchildren, William David Sharpe III, Donald James Sharpe, Alexis Rose Beavers and Richard Logan Beavers; great grandchildren, Cassidy and Clayton Sharpe; brothers, William and Ronald and sisters, Mary Lou, Evelyn, Katherine, Ruth Ann and Bernice.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2020, in Helber Cemetery, Hocking County. Military services will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. No calling hours will be observed.
Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
