Donald E. Platt, Sr.

Donald E. Platt Sr., 59, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at O’Bleness Hospital in Athens. He was born December 7, 1961, in Athens, Ohio son of the late Norma Maffin Clemons and Donald L. Platt.

He is survived by his son, Donald (Tiffany) Platt Jr. of Nelsonville; daughters, Beth Perry of Nelsonville, Amy Perry of Nelsonville, and Stephanie Conner; grandchildren, Mason Platt, Landon Platt, Joseph Clark, Michala Clark, and Cauley Trout; great grandchildren, Lylia Clark and Liliana Boniphant; sister, Debra (Tim) Kasler of Nelsonville; close friend, Becky Shipley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his siblings, Tammy Sheets, Lewis “Duke” Maffin, and Josephine Maffin.

No services will be held. Burial will take place at a later date in Pedigo Cemetery. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
