Doris Kay Wilbur

Doris Kay Wilbur, 70, of Hamden, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.  Doris was born April 1, 1952, in Rutland, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Harry E. and Hazel A. (Curfman) Shoemaker.  She was the widow of the late Ronald Wayne “Ron” Wilbur.

Doris was a member of the Puritan Free Will Baptist Church in Hamden.  She was loving and caring mother, grandmother, and wife.

Doris is survived by her son, Billy J. (Shandi) Wilbur of Jackson; daughters, Bobby Fee of Hamden and Michelle (David) Jayjohn of Hamden; grandchildren, Wayne Rutter, Harry (Kelsey) Ostrander, Corbin Wilbur, Kye Wilbur, and Rick (Lesley) Jayjohn; great grandchildren, Roy Ostrander and Rihanna Ostrander; and sister, Hilda Cross of Athens.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Paul (Katie) Shoemaker; brother-in-law, Arthur Cross; and great grandchildren.

It was Doris’ wish to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
