Dorothy May Hess, 86, of Logan, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at Embassy of Logan in Logan. She was born May 21, 1936, in Millersville, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Arthur and Katie Landis Witmer. Dorothy was the widow of the late Oliver Foutz Hess.
She was a member of Hocking Hills Mennonite Church in Logan.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Melvin (Rhonda) Hess, William (Carol) Hess, Timothy (Marcile) Hess and Daniel (Kelley) Hess; daughters, Kathryn (Stephen) Good, Kristine (David) Clugston, Donna (James) Mullet and Linda (Weldon) Hershey; thirty-four grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren and a sister, Ethel Swartzentruber.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Lee and Karl Hess and five siblings.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Hocking Hills Mennonite Church, 14865 OH-595, Logan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hocking Hills Mennonite Church in Logan. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Willow Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery in Russellville, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Willow Creek Mennonite Church on Friday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
