Dorothy L. Parsons

Lifelong Chauncey resident, Dorothy L. Parsons, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 24 ^th , 2021, at Close to Home Assisted Living in Albany, Ohio. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Beulah (Linscott) Robinson and Albert W. Robinson.

Dorothy was married to her late husband, Clair Parsons for 69 years. She was a 1945 graduate of Chauncey-Dover High school. Her passion in life was genealogy studies of Athens County families.

She is survived by two grandsons, Larry Rutter of Athens, Ohio and Brandon Elliott (Valerie) of Bluffton, SC.; three great grandchildren, Emmy Elliott of New York City, NY, and Gabby and David Elliott of Bluffton, SC.; sister, Deloris Howard of Marion, OH; brother, Gerald Robinson of New Mexico; and daughter in law, Jamie Kuhner was a life-long friend.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and 6 siblings: Earl Robinson, Lawrence Robinson, Donald Robinson, Rita Fae Robinson, Edith Lou Robinson, Paulene Ruth Cain; and also her husband of 69 years, Clair Parsons and son, Joseph Parsons.

A memorial service will be held for friends and family in the spring of 2022.

Interment in Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville.  Arrangements by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
