Earl Ray Campbell

Earl Ray Campbell, 85, of Millfield, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains, Ohio.  He was born November 19, 1938, in Murray City, Ohio, son of the late James A. and Iva L. Christian Campbell.  Earl was married to the late Lois Jean Davis Campbell.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting.

Earl is survived by his sons, Larry Campbell of The Plains and Lowell (Sandy) Campbell of Millfield; daughters, Carol Campbell of Millfield, Mary (Jerry) Hart of Nelsonville and Tresa (David) McLaughlin of Albany; grandchildren, Mark Campbell, Billie Campbell, Jennifer (Chris Cremeans) Hart, Frank (Ashley) Campbell, Jerry (Kylie) Hart Jr., Amber (Brandon) Root, Michelle Edwards, Cassie Cline, Bobby Johnson and Eric Holcomb; great grandchildren, Frankie, Kaylie, Chase, Addy, Madison, Carson, Autumn, Piper, Jayda, Paisley, Nicholas, Sidney, Lily, Oakley, Brooks and Chase; great great grandchildren, Kayson, Audrey, Mackenley and Graylynn; significant other, Rita Brown; sister, Glenda Nessline of Zanesville and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Wanda, Beatrice and Erma; brothers, Albert and William and daughter-in-law, Christy Campbell.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Gary Alton officiating.  Interment will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
