Earl Edward Nichols, 73, of Dundas, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at his home. Earl was born on August 20, 1951, the son of the late Earl Rodger and Bonnie (Lenegar) Nichols. He was married to the late Norma (Graves) Nichols.
Earl was a US Army Veteran, serving in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He retired after over 30 years as an engineer for Columbia Gas. In his free time, not only was Earl a talented mechanic, but he also enjoyed sharing that knowledge with others. He shared his love of cars and racing with his whole family.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Autumn (Michael) Workman; grandchildren, Michaela Skeens, Grace Workman, and Ellie Workman; brothers, Rickie (Rhonda) Nichols, Eric ( Penny) Nichols, Timothy (Rose) Nichols, Jason Nichols, Jerame Nichols, and Joshua Nichols; sisters, Julia (Jeff) Thacker and Christina (Paul) Creech; sister-in-law, Suze Nichols; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his beloved dog, Ruth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; daughter, Amber Nichols-Betts; brothers, Randall “Randy” Nichols and Rodger Kent “Buck” Nichols; sister-in-law, Kim Nichols; and dog, Amy.
Family and friends may visit from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Hamden Cemetery.
