Edgar Forde "Pete" Mcclain

Edgar Forde “Pete” McClain, 84, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his residence.  He was born in Nelsonville April 13, 1934, son of the late Edgar Foster and Anna Grace Lash McClain.  He was married for 65 years to Mary Helen Wolfe McClain, who survives.

Pete was a retired Iron Worker with Union Local #172 and a lifelong farmer.  He attended Oak Grove Wesleyan Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Franklin McClain.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Larry Swart officiating.  Interment will be at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
