Elizabeth Ann Leonard, 65, of Hamden, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Cabel Hunting Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born July 19, 1955, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Glenn and Maggie McClaskey Waldron. Ann was married to Darell Leonard, who survives.
She retired from Huston’s Nursing Home in Hamden and was currently a cook at the Vinton County Senior Citizen’s Center. Ann was an organ donor, a member of Hamden United Methodist Church and she helped distribute food boxes for Lost and Found.
She is survived by her son, William Lewis Jr. of Wellston; daughter, Erica (Michael) Reilly of Metter, Georgia; stepson, David (Leanna Dutton) Leonard of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; stepdaughters, Christine (Christopher) Hughes of Columbus, Rebekah (Kenneth) Holton of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Amy (Brian Flory) Robinson of Columbus; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, James (Janet) Jividen of Florida; sisters, Linda (Edmond) Maerker of Hamden, Gail (Donnie) Worrix of Hamden, Kathy (Jim) Williamson of Peebles, Ohio and Margie (George) Barlow of Piketon, Ohio; son-in-law, Danny Harmon of Hamden and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Ryann Harmon; stepson, Jeffrey Leonard; grandson, Jeth Leonard; brothers, Melvin and Ray Waldron and sisters, Betty Sturgill and Racine Williamson.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Interment will be in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
