Elsie Jean Moore

Elsie Jean Moore, 93, of Hadenville, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan.  She was born March 21, 1928, in Morgantown, West Virginia, daughter of the late Leonard and Gladys Boatright Harris.  Jean was the widow of the late Roger V. Moore Sr.

She retired from Elberfelds Department Store in Logan and formerly worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.  Jean was a member of Haydenville United Methodist Church and the Twig.

Jean is survived by her son, Roger V. (Kathy) Moore of Haydenville; daughter, Letha Conner of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Stacy (Philip) Venrick, Stefan (Andrea) Conner, Erin (Shawn) Fraunfelter, Beth (Troy) Frear, Chad (Stephanie) Moore and Brian (Jackie) Moore; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Roger Harris of Logan, Jim (B.J.)  Harris of Amhurst, Ohio, Ken (Betty) Harris of Somerset, Dean (Robin) Harris of Rutland and Elwood Harris of Logan and sisters, Rose Hubbard of Lakeland, Florida, Katherine Vollmer of Haydenville and Teressa (Carey) Glenn of Logan.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Delmer Harris; sisters, Thelma Morgan, Phyllis Holcomb, Audrey Chute, Sarah Eberts and nieces, Natalie Glenn Nutter and Sue Carmean.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2021, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Philip Venrick officiating.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
