Emma Darlene "Crickett" Roman

Emma Darlene “Crickett” Roman, 76, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born August 4, 1941 in The Plains, Ohio the daughter of Norma L. Phillips Hamilton of Imperial, Ohio and the late John V. Hamilton. She was married to her loving husband, Joseph C. “Joe” Roman Jr. who survives.

She was past-president of the former Nelsonville Emblem Club, #93; past-president of Twig at Doctor’s hospital in Nelsonville and past-president of the Guild at Doctor’s hospital in Nelsonville and she was a member of VFW, #3467, Ladies Auxiliary in Nelsonville

Along with her husband and mother, Emma is survived by sons, John (Lana) Roman of The Plains and Joseph (Nichole) Roman III of Lancaster; daughter, Sarah J. (Bryan) Roman-Walke of Columbus; five grandchildren, Justin, Larissa and Jill, Abigail and Ashley.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by brother, Tom Hamilton.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday October 27, 2017 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Thursday October 26, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
