Emma Jean Shuck, 88, of New Plymouth, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at O’Bleness Hospital in Athens. She was born June 27, 1934, in New Albany, Ohio, the daughter of the late John Joseph and Mildred (Boyer) Walsh. She was the widow of the late Richard Lee Shuck Sr.
Emma was a very loving and generous woman, who never met a stranger. She also never forgot a birthday and always sent a birthday card.
Emma is survived by her sons, Brian Shuck of Union Furnace, Barry (Cheri) Shuck of New Plymouth, and Richard Shuck Jr. of New Plymouth; daughters, Judy Ann (Mark) Anderson of Grove City and Mary (Steve) Jordan of New Plymouth; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother-in-law, Robert (Kathleen) Shuck of Catlett, Virginia; and sister-in-law, Betty (Richard) Wilson of Lancaster.
In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Walsh; sister, Marjorie Alexander; and sisters-in-law, Rebecca Corwin and Barbara Bradshaw.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
