Etta Mae Eckhart, 92, of Gore, passed away Wednesday October 17, 2018 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born April 27, 1926 in Hocking County Ohio, daughter of the late Floyd and Lima Wavelean Thompson Eckhart.
She was the Financial Officer/Bookkeeper at Elberfeld’s Department Store in Logan for over 57 years, and a member of New Hope UMC in Gore.
Etta Mae is survived by her nephews, Douglas G. (Robin) Eckhart of Ashville, Ohio and Curtis K. Eckhart of Novato, California; niece, Melanie S. (John) Halstead of Simi Valley, California; great nephews, Kevin (Amie) Eckhart of Cincinnati, Ohio, Alexander Eckhart of Tallahassee, Florida and David (Samantha) Pierce of Grove City, Ohio; great niece, Christina Cowgill of Ashville, Ohio and great great nieces and nephews, Micah, Joselynn, Tessa, Isaiha, Lindsey, Xander and Dillion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Alfred Lester Eckhart.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday October 26, 2018 at New Hope United Methodist Church, 9825 Gore Church Rd., Logan, Ohio 43139 with Pastor Brandon Hughes officiating. Interment will be in Gore Cemetery, Gore. Friends may visit Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan., and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
