Eva Dawn Ankrom

Eva Dawn Ankrom, 83, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.  She was born May 22, 1936 in Jackson Township, Vinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Kenneth Lane and Thelma Eugenia Diehl McClure.  Eva was the widow of the late Junior D. Ankrom.

She was a graduate of Allensville High School, a member of Mt. Olive Community Church and the former Mt. Olive Community Church Friendly Circle Sewing Club.  Eva was an accomplished baker and loved spending time in her garden and farming.  She was devoted to her family and had the greatest love any grandmother could have towards her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eva is survived by her son, Bart (Maragene) Ankrom of McArthur; daughter, Rhonda (Michael) Dutcher of Hamden; grandchildren, Zachary (Angie) Canode, Sylvia (Randall) Music, Diana (Greg Powell) Ankrom, Austin (Keely) Ankrom, Trinity Dawn Ankrom, Michael Tyler Dutcher, Elisabeth Dutcher and Nicholas Dutcher; great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Easton, Riley, Madison, Emma, Mariah, Gabrielle, Nevaeh, Benson, Maylee, Timothy, Taylor, Lilly, Kennedi and Benjamin; sister, Sherry Zimmerman of McArthur; sisters-in-law, Helen McClure of Chillicothe and Mary McClure of McArthur; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Donnie and Betty Betts of McArthur and Otis and Donna Sowers of Jackson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Violet Molihan; brothers, Raymond, Kenneth E., Robert E. and Delno McClure; sisters-in-law, Patsy McClure and Judy McClure; brother-in-law, Dave Molihan and daughter-in-law, Gloria Ankrom.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Austin Ankrom officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Vinton County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 5-8 p.m.
