Evelyn Aleen Hatfield, 88, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021. She went home to see Jesus while surrounded by her family at the Pickering House in Lancaster. Evelyn was born November 27, 1932, in Chattaroy, West Virginia, daughter of the late Beckham and Easter Rutherford Copley. Evelyn was the widow of the late Tom Hatfield Sr.
She was a member of the Church of God in Chattaroy, West Virginia.
Evelyn is survived by her sons, Tom (Ronda Hardin) Hatfield Jr. of Logan, Don (Robin Roundtree) Hatfield of Logan, Valentine W. (Connie) Hatfield of Logan and Jeffrey K. (Lisa) Hatfield of Rockbridge; daughters, Pamela (Dean) Sigler and Amy (David) Grove, both of Logan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and son-in-law, Darrell Dexter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Leroy Hatfield; daughter, Debby Dexter; daughters-in-law, Cindy Hatfield and Edna Hatfield; grandchildren Lacey and Jordan Grove and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with D.J. Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
