Everett H. “Homer” Cheeseman, 77, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday May 4, 2021 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. He was born May 2, 1944 in Logan, Ohio, the son of the late Everett H. and Ida Mae Coleman Cheeseman. He was married to Patricia “Pat” Bailey Cheeseman, for 55 years, and she survives.
He was a self-employed Auto Mechanic and Carpenter; he loved to ride his Harley and camping. He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.
Along with his wife, Homer is survived by sons, Wayne Cheeseman of Newark and Homer Cheeseman of Charleston, WV; daughter, Patricia (Matt) Dillon of McArthur; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Judy Green of River Oaks, TX; several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday May 10, 2021 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Rev. Gary Alton officiating. Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Hocking County. Friends may visit Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Homer Cheeseman may be made to Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, Ohio 45764 to help with expenses.
