Evon Kay Lester, 69, of Logan, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born February 14, 1954, in Belleville, Michigan, the daughter of the late Irving Fox and Vondia (Summers) McCammon.

Evon will be remembered as a wonderful mother and mawmaw.

Evon is survived by her daughters, Lisa Neun of Newport, Michigan and Sheila (Chuck) Kuper of Circleville; son, Thurman Newton (Holly) Lester of Logan; grandchildren, Josephine (Andrew), Jonathan, Briona, Kate (Zach), Valerie, Alissa, and Jasmine; and sisters, Judith Coleman of Chelsea, Michigan and June Bolden of Tennessee.

Evon was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Roy Lee Sparks and Thurman Isaac Lester; and sister Wanda Arquette.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2024, in the Grandview Memory Gardens mausoleum chapel, 38659 Governor G C Peery Hwy, Bluefield, VA 24605, with Pastor Danny Whitt officiating.
