Florence Phillis Fletcher

Florence Phillis Fletcher, 65, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday November 26, 2018 at Ohio Health O’Bleness Hospital in Athens.  She was born October 2, 1953 in Pomeroy, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie Lee McCoy Staley.

She worked for Goodyear in Logan.  She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.

Florence is survived by daughters, Joveta “Jody” Fletcher of Nelsonville, Brandi Konkler of Dayton and Myrtle May of Nelsonville; six grandchildren; brother, Ransom (Becky) Staley of McConnelsville; sisters, Carolyn (Gary) Hurst of Logan, Lois Lutz of Logan, Elsie Marlene Waddel of Logan and Eleanor Linton of Lawton, OK; many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Brandon; daughter, Amanda Konkler; grandchild, Angel Fletcher; and sister, Dixie Staley.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday November 30, 2018 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Jim Phillips officiating.  Friends may visit Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Cremation will take place following the services.
