Florence E. Johnson

Florence E. Johnson, 88, of Logan, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.  She was born April 24, 1935, in Logan, the daughter of the late Carl Durant and Florence (Worden) Durant Cable.  She was the widow of the late George Johnson.

Florence was a member of the Kline Memorial Methodist Church in Logan.  She worked for many years at Nationwide Insurance.  She was always quick to help others, she was kind, and she was thoughtful.  In her free time, Florence and her sister, Jackie, were avid genealogy researchers.

Florence is survived by her son, Mark (Emily) Johnson of Lancaster; brother, Charles Durant of Logan; and many nieces and nephews.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Irene Lytle and Jackie Durant.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home. 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Pastor Mike Adkins officiating.  Interment will be in Dew Cemetery, Buchtel.  Family and friends may visit from 5 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests donations be made in memory of Florence to the Kline Memorial Methodist Church, 28996 Enterprise Iles Rd, Logan, Ohio 43138.
