Frances Mae Rheinscheld, 77, of Bluefield, West Virginia, formerly of Logan, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, West Virginia. She was born October 5, 1945, in Kimball, West Virginia, daughter of the late John Lester and Rena Burks. Frances was the widow of the late Lewis Rheinscheld.
She is survived by her son, Michael Rheinscheld of Lancaster; daughters, Charlotte (Richard Mator) Deible of Canal Winchester and Michele Wharton of New Albany, Ohio; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Mayes of West Virginia, James Mayes of North Carolina and Roger Black of West Virginia; sisters, Rosemary Lamb of Virginia, Karen Stewart of West Virginia, Brenda Thompson, Ruth McKinney, Tina Osborne and Carol Potter, all of North Carolina; her fiancé, Ralph Brooks of Bluefield, West Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Frances was preceded in death by her son, Chuck Rheinscheld and several siblings.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
