Frank Allen Hartley

Frank Allen Hartley, 84, of Zanesville, passed away December 4, 2018 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born April 21, 1934 in Nelsonville, son of the late George Albert and Pearl Elizabeth Barrows Hartley. He married Patty Mender Hartley on June 21, 1952. She was the love of his life forever. They were married 54 years when Patty passed away November 18, 2006.

Frank graduated from Nelsonville High School and was recently inducted to the Nelsonville-York High School Athletic Hall of Fame with the 1952 basketball team that went to the state championship. He worked for Ohio Casualty Insurance Company for 25 years.

He is survived by a son, Frank David (Gwen) Hartley of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; daughters, Kathy (Frank) Sidwell of Zanesville, and Holly (Mark) Klopfenstein of Toledo; grandchildren, Justin (Jerra) Kullman, Jenny (Joshua) Pabst, Carmen (Matt) May, Lauren (Nicholas) Edelen, Rachel Hartley, Clifford Hartley, Preston Klopfenstein and Brandon Klopfenstein; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Rosalie Johnson of Canal Winchester and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
