Frederick A. Dougherty

Frederick A. Dougherty, 85, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at his residence.  He was born December 23, 1936, in Logan, Ohio, son of the late John C. “Jack” and Winifred Rathburn Dougherty.  Fred was married to Donna Sue Mowery Dougherty for 64 years, who survives.

He was a retired truck driver, a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was the first Eagle Scout in Hocking County.  Fred was an avid reader, loved listening to ball games and his many dogs and cats.

He is survived by his sons, Nick Dougherty of Logan, Fred (Nita) Dougherty of Logan, Michael Dougherty of Marion, Daniel Dougherty of Logan and Patrick Dougherty of Logan; daughter, Sherry Troxell of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, David, Andrea, Shannon, Tawnee and Daniel; great grandchildren, Riley, Macey, Gracie, Emma, Ella and Kamden; sister-in-law, Nancy Dougherty of Logan and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Troy Cook and brother, Edward Dougherty.

A private family service will be held.  Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
