Gail Robert Hinton

Gail Robert Hinton, 68, of South Bloomingville, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at his residence.  He was born August 30, 1953, in Circleville, Ohio, son of the late Robert K. and Frances L. Hawks Hinton.

Robert was a 40 plus year barber that worked at Plaza Barber Shop in Lancaster who was a loving father and grandfather.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars.  Robert was a believer in God, but not in man.

He is survived by his sons, Anthony Weyrauch of Laurelville and Robert Jake (Carmelita) Hinton of Lancaster; daughters, Shauna Weyrauch of Newark and Jenna (Mike Walton) Hinton of Zanesville; grandchildren, Keeley, Daisy, Chloe, Jace, Journee and Josie; sisters, Martha (Ky) Webb of Michigan, Nadine Hinton of Westerville and Julie Hinton of Urbana and lifelong friends, Victor Smith and Chuck Karshner.

A celebration of life service will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Knights of Columbus, 353 Walnut St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.  The family asks that you bring a covered dish and your best story.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.  The family kindly asks that you keep checking the funeral home website for updated service information.
