Gary Lee Cardwell Jr.

Gary Lee Cardwell Jr., 44, of Vinton, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at his residence.  He was born October 18, 1975, in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Gary Lee and JoAnn Cline Cardwell.  Gary was married to Stephanie Straight Cardwell, of Louisiana.

He was a painter for Xtreme Painting and Power Washing in Gallipolis and a tattoo artist.  Gary enjoyed spending time with his children, building things and motorcycles.

He is survived by his old lady, Tounya Taylor of Radcliff; sons, Patric (Linda Camarigg) Cardwell and Colt Anderson, both of Louisiana; daughters, Chayna and Harley Cardwell, both Radcliff; grandchildren, Sophie Cardwell, Sabastian Cardwell, Colt Anderson Jr., and Ayden Anderson; brother, James “Steve” (Stacie) Cardwell of Columbus; sisters, Alisha (John) Barker of South Point and Lea Anna Elkins of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Gene Stout, David Elkins and Daniel Elkins.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
