Gene Britton

Gene Britton, 89, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Maple Hills Nursing Home in McArthur.  He was born February 18, 1928 in Kentucky, son of the late Sidney and Polly Roberts Britton.

He retired from Wills Trucking as a truck driver, was an Army Veteran and a member of the McArthur VFW Post #5299.

Gene is survived by his sister, Maxine Corbin of Florida and special friends, Henry and Veronica Taylor of McArthur, Linda Neal of McArthur and Jim and Carolyn Taylor of McArthur.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, Joel, Ed and Ray Britton and sisters, Lori Brumley, Susie Sizemore, Eva Allen, Mary Britton and Bonnie Hurstman.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  No visitation will be held.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
