Georgiana Woodson

Georgiana Woodson, 91, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at Ohio Health O’Bleness Hospital.  She was born November 28, 1927 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Rev. Benjamin J. and Lottie Pearl Mattox Hall.  She was the widow of the late Chapman Woodson.

Georgiana was a member of the Nelsonville First Baptist Church and retired from the Goodyear Corporation in Logan after 25 years service.

She is survived by her sons, Bill (Terri) Woodson of Nelsonville, Goose (Barbara) Woodson of Buchtel and Brad Woodson of Lancaster; grandchildren, Chaz Woodson, Noelani Woodson and Benjamin Woodson; brother, Henry (Loretta) Hall of Lancaster; sister, Roxie Dabney of Columbus, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Georgiana was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Hall; sisters, Lucille Conrad, Virginia Denham, Sally Conrad, Susie Miller and Dolly Shaner and a daughter-in-law, Gwen Woodson.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Chunn officiating.  Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
