Gerald "Jerry" Ray Hart

Gerald Ray “Jerry” Hart, 74, of Logan, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at his residence.  He was born September 2, 1943 in Columbus, son of the late Ray Merle and Ruth Matilda Crum Hart.  Jerry was married for 54 years to D. Elaine Norris Hart, who survives.

He retried from AEP as a heavy equipment operator, was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and a member of Community of Christ Church.

Jerry is survived by his son, Tyler R. (Tammie) Hart of Canal Winchester; daughters, Vangii D. Hart of Logan, Tamii E. (Joe) Cramer of Logan and Karii M. (Shawn) Shields of Rockbridge; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and brothers, Nick Hart of Petersburg, Virginia and Lucius Hart of Logan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Riggs and Kathy Barnes and Aunt, Geneva Steveson.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Elder Sheila Klinebriel officiating.  Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, with military graveside services being held by the Hocking County Honor Guard.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m.
