Grace Elizabeth Mcvey

Grace Elizabeth McVey, 84, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday February 16, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.  She was born October 1, 1934 in Doanville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Monte LeRoy and Clio Reynolds Savage.  She was married to Donald Lee “Don” McVey, for 20 years, who survives.

She was retired from Tab Glass Company in St. Petersburg, Florida, and was a member of New Life Outreach in St. Petersburg, Florida.  She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.

Along with her husband, Grace is survived by a daughter, Debra J. Savage of Athens; granddaughter, Nicole Ortiz of Columbus; grandchildren, Briana Ortiz of Columbus and Jakobi Miller of Columbus; great grandchild, Avion Ortiz; sister, Ruth Globe of Delaware; many nieces and nephews, including Jane (Gene) Sidner of West Jefferson and Gary (Debbie) Warren of Nelsonville.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Savage; sisters, Juanita, Ruby, Betty, Clara, Lulubelle and Helen.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday February 21, 2019 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.  Pastor Leon Forte' officiating.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, New Addition, Nelsonville.  Friends may visit Thursday from 11:00 until the start of the service at the funeral home.
