Gregory Scott Mcquaid

Gregory Scott McQuaid Sr., 53, of Logan, passed away at his home on Monday, March 18, 2024. Greg was born November 6, 1970, in Zanesville, the son of Sheila June McQuaid. He was married to Deborah (Maffin) McQuaid who survives.

Greg was one of a kind and he was always himself, good and bad. He was funny and always had a great story to tell, some of it truthful. Greg loved being a truck driver and working on cars. He was also a wonderful grandfather.

In addition to his mother and wife, Greg is survived by his children, Kelly (Kyanna Hart) McQuaid of Sugar Grove, Dustin (Elizabeth) McQuaid of Logan, Gregory (Jess) McQuaid Jr. of Nelsonville, Grace (Kameron) Maffin of Bremen, Hattie Paige Green of Logan, and Christopher Withem of Logan; grandchildren, Braylen, Terran, Sophia, Lilith, Phoenix, and Phoenix; sister, Judy McQuaid of Buckeye Lake; parents-in-law, Richard and Edith Maffin; cousin, Ronnie Groff; and nieces and nephews, Kaytalyn (Charlie Hopkins) Fouty of Ripley, Ohio, Paige Fouty of Nelsonville, and Kohl (Taylor) Fouty of Carbon Hill.

Greg was preceded in death by his grandmother, Irene McQuaid and aunt, Jane Reed.

Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with cremation to follow.

Donations can be made in memory of Greg to the funeral home to assist with funeral expense.
