Harriet Grim

Harriet Ann Grim, 89, of McArthur, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at her home. Harriet was born on January 14, 1935, in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Homer G. and Estella (Travis) Mourn Sr.

Harriet was a member of the McArthur Free Will Baptist Church. She was a devoted matriarch to her family.

Harriet is survived by her sons, Gary Lee Smith of Creola and Roger D. Smith of Granville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Leon Smith and Carl Grim; son, Richard L. Smith Jr.; daughter, Linda Diane Zeune; sisters, Ruth Irene Smith, Frances Riley, Betty Remington, and Mary Allen; and brother, Homer “Sonny” Mourn Jr.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the McArthur Free Will Baptist Church, 408 W. Main St., McArthur, with Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Family and friends may visit from 4 pm until the time of the service at the church. Cremation will follow the services. Private interment will occur at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Harriet’s memory may be made to the McArthur Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 35, McArthur, Ohio 45651.
