Helen Louise Russell

Helen Louise Russell, 95, of The Plains, passed away peacefully Monday, September 3, 2018 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains.  She was born December 5, 1922 in Coolville, the daughter of the late Thomas Howard Russell and Ida Frost Russell.

She was a graduate of Athens High School and retired from McBee Systems with 43 years of service.

She is survived by special friends, Kathy and Charles Llewelleyn; her Hickory Creek family of friends; cousins, Louise (Larry) Farley and Gladys (Lawrence) Farley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas H. Russell, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Buford Brown officiating. Interment will follow the service. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville.
