Irene Williams, 80, of Creola, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born April 17, 1937 in Pikeville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Jesse and Pansy H. Anderson Coleman. Irene was the widow of the late James Paul Williams.
She retired from the Vinton County Senior Citizens Center in McArthur and attended Maggies Homes Church in Dundas.
Irene is survived by her sons, James Jr. (Greta) Williams of Wellston, Ira Edward Williams of Creola and Jeffrey Allen (Amy) Williams of Columbus; daughters, Jessica (Mark) Bishop of Creola and Deandra (John) Manning of Shadyside; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, Oydel, Arthur, Luster Dean, Roy, Robert, Marshall, Chan and Terry Coleman and sisters, Christine Newsome, Esther Coleman, Minnie Prater, Lerlie Peoples and Charlene Peoples.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Dean Williams; brothers, Elmer and Jesse James Coleman and sisters, Lois Prater, Madeline Ratliff and Hester Coleman.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Maggies Home Church in Dundas, with Elder Donald Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Harkins Chapel Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
