James Franklin "Frank" Crow Jr.

James Franklin “Frank” Crow Jr., 89, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.  He was born May 10, 1934, in McArthur, son of the late James Franklin and Helen Louise Brandeberry Crow Sr.  Frank was married to the late Sara Will Crow.

He formerly owned and operated McArthur Supply Company in McArthur.  Frank was the purchasing manager for Austin Powder Company and was the parts manager for the former Dodrill Ford.  Frank was a member of the Jackson RC Aces, a former Boy Scout leader for Troop # 91 and was a member of the Delta Masonic Lodge #207 F&AM in McArthur.

Frank is survived by his son, James Benjamin “Ben” Crow of McArthur; grandson, Adam Benjamin Crow of McArthur and sister, Clara Jane Dodrill of McArthur.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Dawn Marie Peters Crow.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2023, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
