James "Jim" E. Hinson Jr.

James “Jim” E. Hinson, Jr., age 74 of Garrett Ridge, McArthur passed away June 17, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center.

He was born on October 21, 1948, to the late Jim and Julia (Wine) Hinson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Johnny A.

While Jim will be remembered by many people for 37 years of service at Lake Hope State Park, he held other jobs and had many hobbies and interests including reading, writing short stories, fishing, hunting, wrestling, coaching baseball and horror movies.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Hinson, whom he met at Lake Hope, his children,

Gabrielle (Roger) McNeely and James (Arianna) Hinson, grandchildren Andrew Joshua and Alexia Marie (Brian), grand-dogs Dottie and Honey and great-grandchild Atlas Kai.

No funeral service will be held as per his wishes, a memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
