James “Jimmy” B. White, 74, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at his residence. He was born February 22, 1947, in Massillon, Ohio, son of the late Forrest M. and Northa Alice Rhoades White. Jimmy was married to Linda White, who survives.
He co-owned and operated White’s Lumber Company and Logging in Meigs County. Jimmy and his brother were certified Ohio Master Loggers. He attended Point Rock Church of the Nazarene in Albany and was a life member of the NRA.
Jimmy is survived by his son, James Franklin “Frank” (Shannon) White of McArthur; daughter, Nikki (Shane Nickels) White of Albany; grandchildren, Peyton and Ethan Nickels, Jacob White and Cara Thacker; brother, Roger (Linda) White of Jackson and sisters, Judy Smith of Rockbridge, Joyce White of Guysville and Robin (Sherman) Pratt of McArthur.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie White and brother-in-law, Gary Smith.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Dianne Chapman-Pettit officiating. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
