James "Ky" Blanton

James “Ky” Blanton, 87, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at New Lexington Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born March 6, 1935, in Paintsville, Kentucky, son of the late Hade and Beatrice Wyskiver Blanton.  Ky was married to the late Ruby Nixon Blanton.

He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Logan Eagles.

Ky is survived by his son, Donald (Marilyn Ellis) Blanton of New Lexington; daughters, Cathy (Dave) Newlen of Dublin and Lisa Lawrence of Columbus; grandchildren, Carla and K.J.; several step grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by many siblings.

No services will be held.  Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
