James L. Lowe

James L. Lowe, 89, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday January 10, 2018 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.  He was born July 13, 1928 in Martin County, Kentucky, son of the late Everett M. and Ora Nancy Blackburn Lowe.  James was married to Savannah Fields Lowe, who survives, for 62 years.

He was retired from the State of Ohio and worked at the Ohio Exposition Center for 30 years and 8 months.

Along with his wife, James is survived by sons, Gregory Lynn Lowe of Tennessee and Titus Lionel Lowe of New Plymouth; daughter, Vanessa (Stefan) Laslo of Gahanna; grandchildren, Shawna and Michelle, Melissa, Holly, Scott (Autumn) Laslow and Stefani; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his seven brothers and sisters.

A private graveside service and interment will be held Tuesday January 16, 2018 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Titus L. Lowe officiating.  Arrangements are by the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
