James R. Hall

James R. Hall, 90, of New Straitsville, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at his daughter’s residence in Logan.  He was born May 29, 1931, in Maxville, Ohio, son of the late Clarence and Melissa Glassburn Hall.  James was married to the late Joan Shivler Hall.

He was a retired oilfield worker and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

James is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Shawn) Gallagan of Logan; son, Steve Hall of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Chris Vickers, Shawn Gallagan, Eric Gallagan, Naomi Squires and Tiffany Tamkin; twelve great grandchildren and son-in-law, Roy Vickers of New Straitsville.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Vickers; granddaughter, Carrie Crawford and brother, John Hall.

A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, March 28, 2022, in Ebenezer Cemetery, Perry County, with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating.  No visitation will be held.  Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of James R. Hall to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 6935 Twp. Rd. 234, Logan, Ohio 43138.
