James D. Thompson

James D. “Jim” Thompson, 56, of Union Furnace, Ohio has passed on into Heaven to be in eternal life with his Heavenly Father, on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, @ 12:59 pm at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.  James was born March 27, 1965, the son of Ruth Ann (Russel Jr.) Jenkins and the late Donald (Frieda) Thompson.

He was the beloved brother to Barb (Greg) Huston of Union Furnace, Carla (Kevin) Dickerson of New Lexington, Deborah (Jeff) Thompson of Logan, and Russ (Amy) Jenkins III of Logan; many step sisters and step brothers, he was a proud uncle and cherished his family. He was the former owner of J. Thompson Construction and equipment operator for Thompson Excavating alongside his father,

He is proceeded in death by his father, Don Thompson; grandparents, Rev. Jess and Minnie Thompson and James and Juanita Daugherty, all formerly of Logan.

The family has chosen to have a private funeral and graveside services. Arrangements are with Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
