James Douglas Wright

James Douglas Wright, 81, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at his residence. He was born October 12, 1942, in Grayson, Kentucky, son of the late Jennings Edward and Bessie Burton Flake Wright.  James was married to the late Marsha Irene Johnson Wright.

He retried from Mead Paper Company in Chillicothe, was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War and was a member of the VFW and Amvets in Chillicothe.

James is survived by his son, Nathan “Doug” Wright of Chillicothe; daughters, Jeanna M (Chan) Coleman of McArthur and Amber E. Wright of Londonderry and six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Wright and sister, Ruth Sheets.

No services will be held.  Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
