Jamie Lynne Steenrod

Jamie Lynne Steenrod, 69, of Sugar Grove, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born September 10, 1948 in Marietta, Ohio the daughter of the late James H. and Nora Jo McGuire Hall. She was married to Richard L. “Dick” Steenrod, who survives, for 49 years.

Jamie was a retired bank teller for Peoples Bank for over 30 years. Member of Nelsonville Presbyterian Church; she was a member of the Athens and Logan Bowling Associations, and was an avid Berne Union supporter.

Along with her husband, she is survived by daughter, Tracie Venrick of Sugar Grove; son, James Steenrod of Sugar Grove; grandchildren, Grace (Nick) Daniels of Lancaster, Ryan Venrick, Landon Venrick and Ashley Venrick all of Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Bella, Jace, Noah and Rhett; sister, Anita Spencer of Mt. Vernon; brothers-in-law, Robert (Kathi) Steenrod of Athens and Thomas (Becky) Steenrod of Carbon Hill; niece, Cheryl Davis of Mt. Vernon; several grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Steve McGuire officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Nelsonville. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service, at the funeral home.
