Jasper Allen Bateman

Jasper Allen Bateman, 39, of Nelsonville, pulled out of the dock alone on Monday, July 18, 2022, and is rolling down the river solo.  He was born October 21, 1982, in Lancaster, Ohio, son of Ed and Sue Arthur Bateman, who survive.

Jasper’s heart was so big, this world couldn’t handle him.  He respected and loved every person he came into contact with and made them feel so special.  When Jasper entered any room, he would put a smile on everyone’s face.  He was a hugger!  Everyone knew when they saw him that the best hug was coming.  This #Sohio Boy will be missed by many.  Peace-Out!

In addition to his parents, Jasper is survived by his brother, Jarvis Bateman of Nelsonville; sister, Jordan (Ron) Gasper of Cleveland and nieces, Aubrey and Bailey Bateman and Nora Gasper.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
