Jay Edward Ashworth

Jay Edward Ashworth, 55, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at his residence.  He was born May 11, 1963 in Dayton, Ohio, son of Margaret May Wiseman Ashworth of Nelsonville and the late George Stanley Ashworth.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a graduate of Hocking College.

Jay is survived by his mother; three brothers, Thomas Alan (Amy) Ashworth of New Albany, James Stanley (Tamra) Ashworth of Hilliard and Patrick Neal (Lisa) Ashworth of Sterling Heights, Michigan and six nieces and nephews.

According to Jay’s wishes there will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are by the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
