Jean Jewell

Jean Jewell, 90, passed away December 26, 2017 following a brief illness. She was born in Perry County, Ohio to Clyde and Bessie Garey.

She was a resident of Glouster, Ohio for 60 years where she owned and operated Jean’s Beauty Salon. She was well known for her bubbly personality, “big hair” and generosity. She belonged to the Women of the Moose, Nelsonville Emblem Club #97, The Democratic Women and Glouster Senior Citizens.

Jean is survived by a three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas and special nephew, Ricky Garey, whom she raised.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster.
