Jean M. Oney

Jean M. Oney, 84, of Logan, formerly of Obetz, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at her son’s residence in Logan.  She was born February 21, 1938, in Columbus, daughter of the late Dorwin L. and Clairbel Dixon Claffey.  Jean was the widow of the late Alvin E. Oney.

She retired from Coresource in Westerville.

Jean is survived by her son, Calvin (Alberta) Oney of Logan; daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Edelmann of Gallipolis and Beth Dodd of Columbus; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Robert E. Oney and Alvin Oney II; grandson, Jason Oney; great grandson, Silas Barnett and brother, Lyle Claffey.

At her request, there will be no service.  Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Private burial will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.
