Jerry Lee Rutter

Jerry Lee Rutter, 55, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at his residence.  He was born in Nelsonville on August 1, 1962, son of the late Joe Edward and Myrtle Marie Nutt Rutter.  He was married to Jo Mae DeVault Rutter, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his daughters, Jody Keirns of Nelsonville and Jennifer Keirns of Logan; son, Jerry Lee Keirns of Nelsonville; step son William “Billy” Leonard of Coolville; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Ace Rutter and Joseph (Mary) Rutter both of Nelsonville; sisters, Nancy Rutter of West Virginia, Alvira Spears of Chauncey, Mary Lou Rutter of Athens, Kathy Ann Rutter of Chauncey, Gloria Rutter and Ellen Rutter as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Edward Rutter; and 2 brothers-in-law, Larry Dennis and Clarence Spears.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 13, 2017 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Pastor Stan West officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
