"J.J." Journey Joseph Harmon Huntley

Journey Joseph Harmon “J.J.” Huntley, 20, of New Plymouth, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at his residence.  He was born September 9, 1998 in Columbus, Ohio, son of Joseph “Joe” L. Huntley of New Plymouth and the late Mary D. Barrett Huntley.

J.J. was a welder who formerly attended New Plymouth United Methodist Church and St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Logan.  He enjoyed playing his guitar and doing various outdoor activities including snowboarding, water skiing, skateboarding, motocross and hunting.

J.J. is survived by his daughter, Tempest Ember Marie Huntley; half-sisters, Mandy Enderle and Michelle Jones; aunts, Laura (Randy) Hopstetter, Robin Bell, Debbie Scott and Arleen Mcdonald; uncles, Kenny (Gina) Huntley and Dwight Barrett Jr.; grandmother, Katherine Barrett and girlfriend, Cheyanna Wiseman.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Harmon Charles Huntley; aunt, Bobbi Jo Barrett and grandparents, Harmon Donald and Lillian Huntley and Dwight “Bud” Barrett Sr.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the service.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Joe Huntley, 66235 SR 56, New Plymouth, Ohio, 45654, where a trust fund will be set up for the benefit of J.J.’s daughter, Tempest.
