Joanne "Nan" A. Gabel

April 6, 1928 — March 22, 2021

Joanne A. “Nan” Gabel, 92, of Logan, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan.  She was born April 6, 1928, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy and Lura Hazel Baker Smith.  Nan was the widow of the late Jesse L. “Jay” Gabel.

She was a member of Union United Methodist Church in Logan.

Nan is survived by her daughter, Jessie Sue (Robert) Clawson of Mason; grandchildren, Rob, Jay, and Troy Clawson, Jim McCort, Ty McCort and Tammy Little; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Stewart.

Friends may call at the Union United Methodist Church, 29016 Starr Rt. Rd., Logan, Ohio 43138, on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Private services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, with Pastor Mike Adkins officiating.

Please observe all COVID-19 guidelines by wearing a mask and social distancing while in attendance.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Joanne “Nan” Gabel, to Union United Methodist Church, 29016 Starr Rt. Rd., Logan, Ohio 43138.
