John Lloyd Cullison

July 29, 1938 — January 4, 2023

John Lloyd Cullison, 84, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Doctor’s West Hospital in Columbus.  He was born July 29, 1938, in Nelsonville, Ohio, son of the late Elza and Sarah Sturgill Cullison.  John was married to the late Ruth Elaine Whitmore Cullison.

He retired from General Electric in Logan, after 30 years of service and was a United States Air Force Veteran.

John is survived by his sons, Greg Conway of Nelsonville, John Cullison of Logan, Eric Cullison of Logan and Brent Cullison of Logan; daughters, Amy (K. Terry) Hawk of Nelsonville, Rebecca (Steve) Hagerty of Logan and Jackie Cullison of Logan; grandchildren, Christopher Weese, Janie Conway, Bethany Thomas, Taylor Sappington, Spencer Sappington and Seth Hopstetter; several great grandchildren; brother, Tom Cullison of Nelsonville; dear friend, Marvene and son-in-law, Steve Weese.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Kimberly Weese and Barbara (Mia) Thomas; one infant son; grandchildren, Elijah Thomas, Christian Thomas and Nathaniel Thomas and brothers, Fred, Ralph and Paul Cullison.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.  Private burial will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, in Wolfe Cemetery with his wife.
