John W. Fuller Jr., 83, of Logan, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Embassy of Logan. He was born June 18, 1940, in Nelsonville, son of the late John W. Fuller Sr. and mothers, Garnet D. Ackison Klinebriel and Waveline Mary Marx Fuller. He graduated from Starr Washington High School Class of 1958. He attended Ohio University for one football season.
John was the widower of the late Barb Fuller (59), they were married for 42 years. He is married to Sandy Fuller of Skiatook, Oklahoma.
His first job was working for his father in the mines. John supported his family as a truck driver, retiring from ABF in 1996. John was often seen running as he trained for many marathons. Or on his days off he would be helping his father-in-law, John W. Brooks and the Brooks Shoe Company and later in retirement, golfing at Bobcat Trail in Northport, Florida.
John is survived by one son, Brett (Nicole) Fuller of Plain City, Ohio; one daughter, Barri (Andy) Kline of Logan, Ohio; brother, Bub (Charlene) Fuller of New Plymouth; uncle, Wilber (Pauleta) Fuller of Logan; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Barb, John was preceded in death by his two sons, Brooks Fuller (58) and Brad Fuller (54).
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. A family service will be held and interment in Asbury Cemetery.
